Overview

How non-resident mortgages work

Several UAE banks lend to buyers who live outside the country. Because the bank can’t check local salary records, it usually lends a lower share of the property value than for residents, typically between 50% and 65%.

Banks also look closely at your income, where it’s paid and your credit history in your home country. Choosing a bank that already lends to people with your nationality and income type is often the difference between approval and refusal.

Most steps, including pre-approval and document checks, can be done remotely. For the property transfer you can visit Dubai or appoint someone you trust through a power of attorney.
